Learn how to use the library – in English
If you want to know more about the Viborg Libraries but do not speak Danish, our new English page tells you what you need to know.
Af Rasmus Gissel
Danish public libraries are open to everyone – including you. But if you are one of the 8500 people with international backgrounds living in Viborg Municipality, maybe you do not speak Danish. That can make it a challenge to use the library: It can be hard to get started when you do not understand the language.
We have created an English web page that tells you what you need to know. It will tell you
- how to become a library user
- how to borrow books, dictionaries, comics, music, and games
- how to use our wi-fi network
- how to use the library printers
… and much more.
The page also gives you tips for practising your Danish. It helps you use our digital services to find e-books, newspapers, and more in many different languages. And you can read what a Danish public library is, and what you can expect to find here.
There are ten libraries in Viborg Municipality. No matter where you live, there will be one close to you. We hope that you will use the libraries. If you need to know something that is not on our new page, just ask our staff. They are always ready to help.
Click here to visit the new page. And feel free to tell your colleagues, friends, and family about it!
